UK Weed Science to Host Palmer Field Day

The University of Kentucky Weed Science program will be hosting a field day in Ballard County, Kentucky with a focus on the management of Palmer amaranth.  The field day will be held on July 12th from 9 am to 11:30 am at the Chris Drummond Farm located at 858 Hazelwood Road, Barlow KY 42024.  The field day will feature demonstration plots highlighting preemergence herbicides with multiple sites of action and postemergence herbicide options.  Results of Palmer amaranth and waterhemp research being conducted across the state will also be presented along with research updates from University of Kentucky Weed Science graduate students.

This event is being supported by the United Soybean Board and the Take Action on Herbicide Resistant Weeds program.  Research results presented at the field day is supported by the Kentucky Soybean Board.
